Oh hell yes. Finally!! Satyricon had come to Greece 8,5 years ago but I was 8 months pregnant and I didn't go. it always had been a thorn in my heart and I patiently waited for another chance. I wasn't sure if it was going to happen, but the day finally came!!
Since also my scooter had broken down, I went by metro and actually arrived with the first notes of the first song. So so awesome!! Of course I was way in the back, but they had screens and I had space to headbang haha!!
Words hardly can describe what we witnessed. The sound was superb, the energy was awesome, the audience on fire!! Satyr gave a few really nice talks and it showed how enthusiastic he was. Frost battered his drums in known fashion. It was just one highlight after the other and we were treated with a hell of a setlist!!
I sometimes still think I was dreaming this, but it really happened. One of my favourite black metal bands, finally live!! I'm so happy! When satyr was diagnosed with the benign tumor, it could have been the end of touring. I'm so grateful that this event finally happened and I could witness such a iconic and legendary band. Thank you Satyricon, forever
